What it does
Synas Image 001 turns a text prompt into an image, and edits existing images, in the same model. Composition, style and edit control all live in one place, so you don't have to chain separate tools together to get the result you want.
It is built for the people who need to get the same result twice: researchers comparing prompts, teams producing a consistent series, and anyone who has to show how an image was made.
Seeds and style locks
A seed fixes the random starting point of an image, so the same prompt and the same seed give the same result. Change the prompt and keep the seed to see what the prompt alone changed.
A style lock goes one step further. It pins a seed together with a frozen style embedding, so a series of prompts renders in one consistent look. Same lock, same style, every time.
Exact reproduction also depends on the model version, the settings and the hardware. Our guide to reproducible image generation covers what to match and what to log.
Run it yourself
Synas Image 001 is open-weight. The trained weights are meant to be downloaded and run on your own hardware, which means your prompts and the images they produce stay with you.
We call it open-weight, not open-source, on purpose. The exact license is published with the release, and our guide explains why the distinction matters.
Use it responsibly
Generated images can mislead. Label them, keep the prompt and seed on file, and consider attaching content credentials where your tools support them. For images whose origin you don't know, Synas Detect 001 is the companion model.
Questions
Can I run Synas Image 001 on my own hardware?
That is what open weights are for. Join the waitlist to hear when the weights and their license are released.
What is a style lock?
A style lock pins a seed together with a frozen style embedding, so a series of prompts renders in one consistent look. Same lock, same style, every time.
What does it cost?
Reading about it is free, and running open weights yourself costs only your own compute. Pricing for any hosted access hasn't been announced, and waitlist members hear first.
